Responsibilities and Duties
Provide support for software development and architecture activities; review, construct, and maintain related documentation such as the SDD Requirements Worksheet (SRW)
Provide IT Architecture and security support for all SDD Clinical Support Branch (CSB) applications and products (new and existing)
Support all related SDLC support actions with required documentation
Participate in system design concept development; develop system modification and upgrade concepts and requirements; and provide system and equipment item engineering analysis to assess reliability, availability, maintainability, and logistical supportability
Provide technical assistance with security simulation, security verification and software tests, configuration management, and other software development activities for the subsystems at operations and planning centers in support of Technical Reviews, Governance Board reviews, etc.
Complete a comprehensive Gap Analysis of all SDD Clinical Support Systems
Engineers will acquire knowledge of systems
Engineers will work with Configuration Management (CM), Testing, Architecture, Cyber, Office of Transition Management (OTM), and other SDD and DHA data information request tasks
Manage and work in a AIX, Linux and UNIX operating system and services environment.
Participate in technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, PRR, CCR)
Familiar with DIACAP and/or Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Develop and maintenance of system architecture models
Analyze engineering plans
Support for planning, analysis, design, development, testing, integration and install activities
Support web servers, application servers and database servers.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience utilizing SDLC and/or Agile methodologies.
Familiar with a wide range technologies and applications.
Experience documenting design, configuration and implementation plans.
Experience presenting ideas and solutions to customers desired
Proactive and comfortable with client interfacing
Ability to obtain public trust clearance
6+ years experience coordinating Architecture of SDLC activities, consulting, training and support.
Computer Science Degree or higher from accredited university is desired.
